Hey everyone!
Another day in the Piedmont and another evening where I can barely keep my eyes open!
While I didn't go to any baseball games today, my bro and I went to Raleigh and took a tour of NC State.
I must say that I was impressed with NC State, but I liked ECU better. Walking around the campus, touring the athletic facility, and talking with the coaches, I can see the influence that the Oregon Track and Field program has had on all programs from coast-to-coast. It seems that at least the first 15 minutes of each tour we have taken has been dedicated to me talking about my experiences with Oregon. It ha gotten so obvious that my brother, who is the reason for the tour, is becoming kind of annoyed with the way the coaches are always bringing up my experiences and accomplishments.
I am not proud of what went down during my four years as an athlete at the University of Oregon. I have a very difficult time talking about it in social circles. Whenever a person brings it up, I try very hard to steer the conversation away from it. I just wish people would just leave my track career alone and focus on my academic achievements and the type of person I am.
Tomorrow, I am waking up very, very early to go watch and coach my brother at the track meet. By early, I mean like 6am EST early. After the meet, we will head out to UNC and Duke, then the baseball game.
Tomorrow, for those of you who didn't know, is also my 22nd birthday. Boy, do I feel old...
Always take on a 3-0 pitch ;)
