So, one more month until my first baseball roadtrip to Portland. I am super excited for it!
I've been watching a lot of baseball for the past couple of weeks. After the major snow game at PK Park, I have settled into my couch and watch some of the World Baseball Classic.
I have found the WBC to be very enjoyable to watch. Normally, I don't like to watch baseball on tv, but I'm trying to broaden my horizons, I guess!
With one month left, let me fill all of you in on where I will be going this year:
The first roadtrip will be fairly local. I'll train up to Tacoma, spend the night, then hit Portland. This is will be over Memorial Day Weekend.
Right after graduation, I will be departing for Pittsburgh and the NL Central roadtrip. After visiting with some family there and catching a game at PNC Park, I'll train it over to Chicago and attend the White Sox-Cubs game at Wrigley Field. To top it off, I'll then train down to St. Louis and see the Cardinals play at Busch Stadium.
July is shaping up to be very exciting. The 15th is the AAA All-Star Game at PGE Park in Portland. Before that, I will be attending the Home Run Derby there and attending a luncheon where apparently some hot-shot baseball figure will be speaking. I hope its Peter Gammons!
The day after the All-Star Game I will be departing for Southern California. I'm planning on meeting up with friends and family, hit up the Nixon Library and Mission San Juan Capistrano, and, of course, catch some games. LA Dodgers, Inland Empire 66ers, Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, and the San Diego Padres.
In August, I will be going international. I will train it up to Vancouver B.C. and catch the Em's at Nat Bailey Stadium and the Vancouver Canadians. After a few Cuban Cigars and Molson, I'll board the ferry and sail to Victoria and see the new Golden League franchise there.
To end the summer, I'll train up to Seattle and see the Yankees play the Mariners.
Well, that'll about do it for now. Remember to always take on the 3-0 pitch ;)
