Well, it has started. Baseball Extravaganza is now in full effect with my first professional game at PGE Park in Portland, OR. The hometown Beavers were playing host to the Fresno Grizzlies.
The game was dominated by the Grizzlies until the bottom of the eighth when the Beavers mounted a furious comeback. Will Venable stroked a three-run triple to give the Beavers the lead for good. Final score: Portland 8 Fresno 5
I must say that I sure did miss walking around and going to the game. With the nice weather we had today in Oregon, it makes me giddy for the summer.
The next installment will occur on May 10 when I go back up to Portland.
Always take on a 3-0 pitch ;)
